Typographic interpretation of Taylor Mali’s Totally like whatever, you know? by Ronnie Bruce Matias Corea used this animation in his presentation this morning and I had to share it - not only because I think it’s well executed, but also because I’m definitely guilty of lacking conviction when I speak. This quote comes to mind every single time I’m about to shoot something or embark on a creative project of any kind, because it’s so specific and seemingly reductive, yet so universal to the difficulty of making anything: the hardest thing about a project is starting it.

So, at the risk of soapboxing, I propose a mantra for myself and for you, if you have any use for it:

Get out of the car.
